Pizza
Listened to a conversation recently about the best pizza in town. I didn't chime in, though if I had I'd have offered this entry: Mangia Italiano. Specifically, the lunchtime's pizza, offered up for the buffet table by Bladimir Rodriguez, who makes the buffet's bread pudding, as well. Ooh, doctor. In a conversation about Mexican bread pudding, there's not even a conversation.
Thank you, Bladimir. My hero!
Lunch is only 15-hours away...
This is a topic over which wars might be waged. My vote goes to La Pizza (roughly) at Delmar and Old Bonhomme.
La Pizza must be channeling the vibes of the long gone Bijou (near the same corner), once the best place to rent a video (Before Whiz Bam's time and long before NetFlix).

We shot several scenes for "Blind Cat Black" in the alley behind Mangia, and on the day of one of those shoots, I had some money and fed everyone ("craft services") at the buffet, and I made a point of telling everyone not to skip the pizza because they could always get pizza anywhere -- that this was really special pizza. I also know of destination pizzerias in Ballwin (West County) and Maryville, Illinois.
